360° Impact

As defined by the GIIN (Global Impact Investing Network), the emerging Impact Investing industry aims to solve social and environmental challenges while generating financial profits. It has the potential to unlock significant sums of private investment capital to complement philanthropy and government resources.

There is a lack of sufficient absorptive capacity for capital as many social enterprises are too small and not financially sustainable to being investable.

A ’Bridge funding’ is missing in the early stage of social enterprises which are lacking technical skills and the finance to scale up.

360° Impact identifies, nurtures and cultivates a pipeline of early stage social entrepreneurs in the clean energy, education and health fields in Southern Africa. 360° Impact pipeline is funded by a mix of grants and equity coming from investors based in Switzerland.
